Advertise

Every ad space on the site is sold by auction, one space and one period at a time. Highest bid takes it.

There are six spaces: the tunnel lightbox, the courtside board, the jumbotron break, the stats panel, the rafters banner, and the banner inside every essay. Each is auctioned separately, for one of two kinds of period. A single 76ers game covers the fifteen minutes before tipoff through three hours after it, and every game is its own auction. A week, non-game hours covers every hour of that week except the games, which are always sold on their own. The winner's name, a line of text and link fill that space for that period, with the favicon of the page it links to as the logo.

Bidding on a game closes at 8 p.m. Eastern the evening before; bidding on a week closes Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern. Every ad is looked over by a person first; only approved bids can win. The winning card is charged that night and the ad goes up at once. If the winning card can't be charged, the next-highest bid wins. Nobody else is charged.

Before you bid, what we won't run: anything to do with Michael Jordan, LeBron James, their brands, the NBA or its teams (this site isn't affiliated with any of them, and ads can't imply it is); adult content; gambling or betting; alcohol, tobacco, vaping or drugs; weapons; medical products; political or religious advocacy; loans, crypto or get-rich schemes; anything illegal, hateful, misleading or aimed at children. Every ad is reviewed by a person; a declined ad is withdrawn and never charged. The full list is in the advertiser terms.

The fine print

Ads are labelled, link out with rel="sponsored", and are reviewed before they can win; we decline anything misleading, adult, or unrelated to a real business or project, at no charge to you. Links are followed when you bid and re-checked daily while the ad runs. A space with no chargeable bid stays unsold for that period. The full advertiser terms are short.
