Privacy policy

This page explains what information jordanorlebron.com collects, why, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

Votes. When you vote, we store your choice (Jordan or LeBron) along with an anonymous identifier so that you can change your vote later and so that one person is counted once. We do not ask for your name or email to vote.

Contact form. If you write to us, we keep your name, email address and message for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of corrections.

Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical information for each request: IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept for a limited period.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Third-party vendors may also use cookies to serve ads; you can opt out of some third-party cookie use at aboutads.info.

We also use a small amount of browser storage to remember your anonymous voter identifier and your vote on this device.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are read.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Material changes will be noted on the home page.
