Advertiser terms
Plain terms for buying an ad space on jordanorlebron.com. Placing a bid means you agree to them.
What you are buying
One ad space on the site, for one period: a single Philadelphia 76ers game (from fifteen minutes before tipoff to three hours after it) or one week of every other moment. Your name, one line of text and link, with the favicon of the page you link to as the logo, show in that space for that period. We don't promise any number of visitors, views or clicks.
Bidding and payment
A bid is at least $25. There is a maximum per bid, which we may change between rounds; a bid over it is refused when you place it, and tells you the current maximum. One email address may hold up to 5 open bids. When you bid you save a card with Stripe; nothing is charged then, and a bid without a saved card doesn't count. A bid can't be withdrawn once placed. Bidding on a game closes at 8 p.m. Eastern the evening before it; bidding on a week closes the Sunday before at 8 p.m. Eastern; we may close bidding early. After it closes, the highest approved bid wins and that card is charged that amount, off-session, which you authorise by placing the bid. If the card can't be charged, the next-highest bid wins instead and yours is withdrawn. Losing bids are never charged.
What can't be advertised
Every ad is reviewed by a person, and we decline anything on this list without charge. If in doubt, ask first through the contact form; a declined ad is withdrawn, never charged.
- Anything to do with Michael Jordan, LeBron James, their brands (Jordan Brand, Nike's Jordan line, SpringHill, Lobos 1707 and the like), the NBA, its teams or its players, or anything that could imply this site is affiliated with any of them. The site isn't, and the ads can't suggest otherwise.
- Adult or sexual content, dating or escort services.
- Gambling, sports betting, lotteries, sweepstakes and fantasy-for-money.
- Alcohol, tobacco, vaping, cannabis and other drugs or drug paraphernalia.
- Weapons, ammunition and explosives.
- Prescription medicines, supplements with health claims, and anything medical.
- Political campaigns, ballot measures, religious advocacy and anything about a protected characteristic.
- Payday loans, cryptocurrency, trading schemes, multi-level marketing and anything promising returns.
- Counterfeits, piracy, hacking tools, surveillance, and anything illegal where it's shown.
- Hateful, violent, harassing, shocking or misleading content, and anything aimed at children.
- Ads for other sites or products that compete with this one, at our discretion.
Review
Every ad is reviewed by a person before it can win. We decline, at our discretion and without charge, anything on the list above, anything unrelated to a real business or project, or anything we simply don't want on the site. We also refuse link shorteners and redirect services, follow your link when you bid, and re-check it every day the ad runs; if it is flagged by Google Safe Browsing, stops loading, or lands on a different site than it did at review, the ad is paused until it is fixed.
Refunds
Once a won ad has started showing, the charge is final. If we remove a running ad for breaking these terms, no refund is due. If we remove it for a reason of our own, we refund the unused share of the period. If the ad never showed at all because of a fault on our side, we refund it in full.
Your content
You confirm you have the right to use the name and link you submit and the linked site's favicon, that the linked page is yours or you are authorised to promote it, and that it carries no malware or deceptive content. Ads are labelled "Ad" and link out with rel="sponsored"; readers can report any ad to us.
Changes and contact
We may change these terms; the version in force when you bid applies to that bid. Questions go through the contact form. jordanorlebron.com is not affiliated with the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers, Michael Jordan or LeBron James.
