About

jordanorlebron.com exists to settle one argument the only way it can be settled: by asking everyone.

The question of who the greatest basketball player of all time is has been argued in barbershops, group chats and sports-radio call-in shows for the better part of two decades. It will never be answered by a stat sheet alone, because the two careers were built in different eras, on different teams, around different strengths. What a vote can do is show where people actually land, and how that shifts as LeBron keeps adding to his résumé and Jordan's career settles further into history.

So that's what this site does. The home page is a basketball arena you walk into. You cast one vote, you can change it whenever you like, and the running tally shows on the jumbotron for everyone to see. Around that we publish the context: a career box score, the defining seasons of each player, and a growing set of essays that lay out each side's best case and dig into the numbers behind it.

Where the numbers come from

Career statistics are taken from the NBA's official records and Basketball-Reference. LeBron James is still playing, so his totals move; we note the season our figures run through on every page that uses them and update them each offseason.

Independence

jordanorlebron.com is an independent fan site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Basketball Association, any of its teams, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, or their representatives. Player names are used to identify the subjects of discussion. No official logos, photographs or marks are used.
